This individual plays a key role in the management of the Repair Station\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/tghaviation.com\/aircraft-instrument-services\/quality-assurance\/\">quality assurance program<\/a> and is instrumental in ensuring that all aircraft components and maintenance activities meet the necessary standards.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong> Regulatory Compliance:<\/strong> &#8211; Ensure all inspection and maintenance activities comply with FAA Part 145 regulations, Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), and applicable customer and manufacturer requirements. &#8211; Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins (SBs) to ensure compliance.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong> Inspection Oversight:<\/strong> &#8211; Develop and implement inspection procedures for incoming, in-process, and final work. &#8211; Oversee and perform inspections of instruments, components, and maintenance activities to verify compliance with approved technical data and regulatory requirements. &#8211; Monitor and audit tools, equipment, and calibration records to ensure they meet the required standards.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong> Quality Assurance Program: <\/strong> &#8211; Manage the Repair Station\u2019s quality assurance program, including internal audits, supplier audits, and corrective actions. &#8211; Investigate and resolve discrepancies, including non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions. &#8211; Review and approve all required documentation, including maintenance release and work orders.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong> Leadership and Training:<\/strong> &#8211; Lead and mentor a team of inspectors to ensure adherence to quality standards. &#8211; Provide training and guidance on inspection techniques, regulatory updates, and quality assurance practices. &#8211; Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the organization.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong> Recordkeeping and Documentation: <\/strong> &#8211; Maintain accurate and complete records of inspections, audits, and maintenance activities. &#8211; Oversee proper documentation and traceability of aircraft parts, ensuring adherence to FAA, EASA and industry requirements &#8211; Ensure compliance with record retention policies as defined in the RSM\/QCM.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong> Collaboration and Communication: <\/strong> &#8211; Collaborate with the Repair Department Manager, Instrument Shop Supervisor, technical staff and customers to address and resolve quality issues. &#8211; Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clarity on inspection findings and requirements.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong> Additional Responsibilities:<\/strong> &#8211; The employee may also be assigned additional duties as deemed necessary by management. These may include, but are not limited to, potential requirements related to additional aviation safety agencies (as determined required). <!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph --><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong>Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor\u2019s degree in aviation maintenance or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance and inspection, including supervisory or management roles.<\/li>\r\n<li>In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, including FAR Part 145.<\/li>\r\n<li>Strong understanding of maintenance manuals, technical data, and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\r\n<li>Proficiency in auditing techniques, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.<\/li>\r\n<li>Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.<\/li>\r\n<li>Familiarity with aircraft maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.<\/li>\r\n<li>Experience with tools and equipment calibration and documentation processes.<\/li>\r\n<li>Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.<\/li>\r\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\r\n<li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.<\/li>\r\n<li>Must be able to pass a preemployment and random FAA\/DOT drug screen.<\/li>\r\n<li>Ability to stand for long periods of time.<\/li>\r\n<li>Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, bend, crouch, crawl, twist, reach, push, and pull with hands and arms.<\/li>\r\n<li>Working Conditions: Most work is performed inside, in an industrial\/repair station environment.
